1872 – 2022 (150 years)
A spot to pray and reminisce
Share memories of those we miss
Take time to rest and join in prayer
For those we love are resting there.

Welcome to St. Patrick’s as we celebrate 150 years since the birth of St. Patrick’s church and cemetery. St. Patrick’s was nominated and designated to the National Register of Historic Sites in 1992 and stands as a beacon for all overlooking the Cedar Creek Valley in Cedar Township near Churdan, Iowa.
Cedar Valley was predominately an Irish Catholic settlement and therefore the roots of the faith grow deep in the soil of Cedar Township. It was described by the first settlers as ” The Garden Spot of the World”. St. Patrick’s continues to stand as a sentinel and beacon for all the faithful over these last 150 years of its existence. Several direct descendants still own and or live on nearby family farms.
